05:16 pm This has been all over C4 today (the news and Richard and fecking Judy)
A couple of colossal fags called moustache commander and supreme commander (I am not making this up) have hijacked the Assassins concept and are hocking it over here.

05:38 pm - Dresden Dolls - Monday, NOT Tuesday. :) Just thought I might as well remind people (and tell those that didn't know) that the Dresden Dolls gig is tomorrow, Monday the 22nd of August. It says the 23rd on the tickets, but that's not right.
See you there!

09:38 pm - "I'm gonna emancipate your teeth."

Yes, that's 26th president of the USA, Theodore Roosevelt. He's fighting martian Nazis.

07:50 pm Typical. You go to all the trouble of shaving your legs and laying out your best dress, and no-one's going out. :)
Guess I can't really complain, I suppose, as I hardly ever seem to be in the mood to go out when everybody else is. Current Music: Tit Smoking in the Temple of Artesian Mimicry - Dev Banhart

05:52 pm Apparently, in Japan it is possible to purchase beautifully-drawn, professionally-produced doujinshi wherein Harry Potter is brutally sodomised by Professor Snape.
In this context, perhaps being unproductive isn't such a bad thing.

08:34 pm Aaaaaah. Another week over. I feel like I'm just marking time at the moment, which is not good. The trouble is, every piece of productive work that I could be doing right now feels like such a mountainous enterprise to get started that I really can't be bothered.
Mind you, given that I can't be bothered doing the dishes right now, that's not saying much. Even leaving the house requires far more effort than I'm prepared to put in unless I absolutely have to.
I think it might be the weather... everyone seems infected with lethargy. Not that I'm complaining. I spent an hour lying in the grass with the warm sun shining on me through the trees today, and I'm hardly going to object to that.
Bah. Maybe if I can finish Kingdom Hearts tonight I can claim to have accomplished something. Current Music: Scott Walker - The world's strongest man

11:59 am Well, the site I used to download The Daily Show and 24 from is down, having been sued by the MPAA, terrified that a generation of people huddled around grainy XVID files on their computers will somehow stop watching TV. I can't really get too annoyed about 24, given that in theory I could pay astronomical fees and watch it on SKY, or wait for the DVD box set (which I'll probably do anyway). I'm a little more justified in my pissed-offedness about The Daily Show, however, which is not broadcast in the UK, never will be (due to its time-sensitive nature) and almost certainly will never appear on DVD. The one thing the US makes that gives itself a good reputation is now a little more tightly fenced-in by idiocy and corporate petty-mindedness.

05:34 am I'm in two minds about whether or not to share this with everyone. I kinda want to keep it all to myself.
But that would be wrong.

11:14 am "The game consists of one golfer, one shooter and a field judge. The purpose of the game is to shoot your opponent's high-flying golf ball out of the air with a finely-tuned 12-gauge shotgun, thus preventing him (your opponent) from lofting a 9-iron approach shot onto a distant "green". Points are scored by blasting your opponent's shiny new Titleist out of the air and causing his shot to fail miserably. After that, you trade places and equipment, and move on to round two."

09:26 pm I'm in the process of painting my fingernails pink and black, and playing through the entire series of Final Fantasy games from 1 to X-2. (except I don't have 3...) I'm also reading Eoin McNamee's The Ultras and Tim Pat Coogan's history of the IRA, occasionally flipping over the tv to catch Enemy of the State. I might watch Austin Powers when it comes on, and, obviously, I'm on the net.
It's not so much ADD as Attention Surplus Disorder...
Last night I intended to see White Noise with some friends (and some complete strangers) but the queue for the cinema snaked well out of sight, so we pub-hopped for an hour before I went home. I think I hugged everyone. Somewhere between four and five pints of Guinness what social graces I have break down. Current Mood: restless Current Music: Bogstandard Bruckheimer chase music
