<lj:music>Scott Walker - The world's strongest man</lj:music>

Aaaaaah. Another week over. I feel like I'm just marking time at the moment, which is not good. The trouble is, every piece of productive work that I could be doing right now feels like such a mountainous enterprise to get started that I really can't be bothered.

Mind you, given that I can't be bothered doing the dishes right now, that's not saying much. Even leaving the house requires far more effort than I'm prepared to put in unless I absolutely have to.

I think it might be the weather... everyone seems infected with lethargy. Not that I'm complaining. I spent an hour lying in the grass with the warm sun shining on me through the trees today, and I'm hardly going to object to that.

Bah. Maybe if I can finish Kingdom Hearts tonight I can claim to have accomplished something.

Well, the site I used to download The Daily Show and 24 from is down, having been sued by the MPAA, terrified that a generation of people huddled around grainy XVID files on their computers will somehow stop watching TV. I can't really get too annoyed about 24, given that in theory I could pay astronomical fees and watch it on SKY, or wait for the DVD box set (which I'll probably do anyway). I'm a little more justified in my pissed-offedness about The Daily Show, however, which is not broadcast in the UK, never will be (due to its time-sensitive nature) and almost certainly will never appear on DVD. The one thing the US makes that gives itself a good reputation is now a little more tightly fenced-in by idiocy and corporate petty-mindedness.

"The game consists of one golfer, one shooter
and a field judge. The purpose of the game
is to shoot your opponent's high-flying golf
ball out of the air with a finely-tuned
12-gauge shotgun, thus preventing him (your
opponent) from lofting a 9-iron approach
shot onto a distant "green". Points are
scored by blasting your opponent's shiny
new Titleist out of the air and causing
his shot to fail miserably.
Well it's been a while. Several reasons why.

1) Disgaea. Tool of the devil.

2) series 3 of 24 on dvd AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Episode 9: 19:00-20:00 Jack goes to the toilet, but it's a bluff! He's on a fucking smack comedown, how is it that he's holding it in? What is he, in special issue CTU nappies? I swear that man is a god damn cyborg.

3) Summer School. Less said about that the better.

Actually, no, lets. Went to the end of term ceidlhifhshfgdfhjhkfdsjfdds. (Too many consonants in Scots.) Proceeded to drink about three pints of Guinness, two of Carlsberg, an 80/ and a couple of shots of JD. Refused to dance, instead talked basic left-wing politics all night with anoyone prepared to listen. Leched on a girl nearly a decade younger than me, got leched on by another girl of indeterminate age, then stumbled home listening to Johnny Cash.

And no, I didn't dance.

And now I still haven't done any *actual* work and I need to hand something into my supervisor before I go to bed.... *sigh*

    <lj:music>The Clash - Armagideon Time</lj:music>

Just saw Hellboy..aaaaaand it rocks! Yay!

Fantastic stuff - not the greatest film in the world, but at least ten times better than Underworld and the other comicbook crap that's being churned out at the moment - just seems to have had a little more care taken over it. Even the CG fight sequences are a little less unconvincing.
Although is it now the law that all films must feature a fight scene in a subway?
